Match report v Campion
By Colin Cromack
Littletown back to winning ways - just!
Littletown spectators left Beck Lane in high spirits having witnessed their side advancing through to the League Cup semifinals with a 3-2 win over a very good Campion side who play the game in the right way.
Manager David Cope made changes following last weeks County cup exit back came James Sykes in defence, Blake Maude in midfield, development striker Milo and Alcindo Dias on the bench.
Campion took control of the game from the start and had a number of chances to go ahead against a very nervous home side and deservedly went ahead through the very impressive Cheddar.
Going behind seemed to wake up Littletown and following a great deep cross from Joe Jagger to the back post Sam Lorro scored his first goal since joining the club.
H T 1-1
Littletown dominated the early stages of the second half creating lots of opportunities that were spurned with Jagger and Milo the main culprits.
Mistakes this season have cost us many goals following another Campion took the lead for the second time and looked all set to win the tie however the home side have a determination throughout the side and took control again and thanks to a stunning series of saves from Michael Smith in the home goal and further goals from Adam Jordan and Joe Jagger saw the game out - JUST.
Despite hanging on at the end this was real test for Littletown players and they past it.
Manager David Cope said " I am delighted for the players and committee , it's been a long week .
Hope this is OK .
