Second Team at Beck Lane
Looking to continue the early season form
With 2 wins from 2 games, confidence is high for the 2nd team as they enter their 3rd game of the season. Their next test comes in the shape of Norristhorpe Reserves, another team who've started well this season.
Although Norristhorpe have only taken 4 points from a possible 6, they still have an unbeaten record that they'll be looking to maintain. Sitting 4th in the table going into this weekends game, their opening fixtures saw them pick up a point at home to the team we beat last week, Lepton Highlanders, drawing 1-1. Their second fixture was a good away win against Morley Town III, winning 5-0. Displaying their ability to defend and score goals, posing a challenge for our second team.
Our second team will need to be at their best to get a favourable result, but they shouldn't be too worried, as they, unlike Norristhorpe, have a 100% winning record this season, having won two away games against Savile and Lepton. We've also scored just as many goals this season as Norristhorpe have, which shows that our attack is just as effective. With the first team out of action this weekend, Dicko will have a few more options for his squad this weekend.
So with no first team in action, the second team will have the spotlight this weekend, and with them playing at Beck Lane for the first time this season, they'll be motivated to get the three points. All support for our second teams first outing at Beck Lane would be appreciated by Dicko and the squad, as they look to keep their winning start going.
