Early Top of Table Clash
1st Team away to 1st place
With the 1st team picking up momentum in the season, winning 4 straight games, they will face their toughest test of the season tomorrow, as they will head to Bradford Academy to face high-flying Farsley Celtic Juniors.
Farsley have started this season as one of the leagues strongest teams, having lead the table for the past 4 games. However, they will go into this game having only played 4 times this season, as their fixture against Ovenden didn't go ahead. In the games they have played, they have won by a 3 goal margin each time, having won 4-1 at home vs Toller, Athletico and Route One. This displays that they are clearly good a scoring goals, particularly at home. With stats like these, it's fair to assume that they'll be confident ahead of tomorrow's game.
Our first team have little reason to panic against Farsley though, as we've also scored our fair share of goals this season, netting 3 against Athletico, Calverley and Alwoodley, which means we can also go to this game knowing we have a good goal scoring record too. Also we have one of the best defences in the league heading into this game, only conceding 3 this season, so the squad can travel full of confidence that they can put in a good performance and hopefully come away with 3 points.
With the second team game being called off, due to our opposition, Ealandians III, short of players, Only one of our teams will be in action this weekend. So if you would like to support Littletown this weekend, head on over to Bradford Academy. The lads would welcome your support as they head into what is the biggest game of the season so far.
