1st Team Back at Beck Lane
Looking to get back to winning ways
After the disappointment of last weekends result, the first team have the opportunity to get back to winning ways at home against one of the familiar faces from last season, Ryburn United.
Ryburn United were in the West Riding County Amateur League last season, and finished quite strongly in 3rd place, only suffering 5 league defeats all season. This season though hasn't started as strongly as their form from last season would suggest, with them taking having 2 wins and 2 defeats from 4 played, which sees them in 8th place going into this fixture. In their last outing, the beat Lower Hopton 3-2 away, and more impressive is they've beaten 2nd placed Stanley again away from home, displaying their quality.
Littletown are heading into this game off the back of one of the toughest games this season, as well as an unfortunate loss at the hands of table-toppers, Farsley Celtic Juniors. As narrow a defeat as it was, There was many positives to take from the game, one being that we're the first team to not concede 3 or more goals against Farsley, displaying that we are able to hold our own with one of the best in the league. So there is plenty of things that will give Jonny and the squad plenty of confidence going into face our opposition, with the added bonus of playing at Beck Lane.
With two teams very good teams set to play each other, we would appreciate any and all support as we look to get back to winning ways and keep pressure at the top of the table.
